About Us
Riverview Aluminium
Riverview Aluminium started its humble beginnings in a railway shed on the premises of Riverview Hardware, Inanda Road, Hillcrest.
“Riverview Hardware had been in my family for 43 years and I took over 27 years ago.” said Kevin Turner, Owner and Manager of Riverview Aluminium.
“Six years ago, I started to notice that many Customers were enquiring about Aluminium doors and windows, so I decided to take a look at the gap in the market and investigate the process of Aluminium manufacturing.”
“At first the sales were slow – then Covid hit and stopped us in our tracks… but we did not give up!
As restrictions were lifted, business started to improve, and we were very fortunate to start work on a complex at 163 Inanda Road. There were five blocks of flats, and we did the complete installation of windows, sliding doors and balustrades. This was the opportunity of a lifetime to prove our abilities and set us on the path to success.
This led to us being awarded another housing complex at 263 Inada Road. On this project, we would manufacture during the day and then take the generator to site after hours and install the windows at night to stay ahead of the plasterers. It was exhausting, but we managed, and completed 52 units with windows, door frames and sliding doors.
We grew from strength to strength and are now involved with one of the biggest developers in KZN, Morgen Creek, on their massive housing development at Kings Gate, where we are installing all their Aluminium Windows, Sliding doors, Balustrades and Showers. “
